Mr. Ede Asenoguan has expressed dismay and bitterness over the gruesome murder of a colleague, C.O KPATUMA, ESQ., a member of the NBA, Asaba branch which sad event occurred on Tuesday, 1st of February, 2022 in his hometown in Imo State. He stated as follows:

“It is with a deep sense of sorrow that I express bitterness over the mindless and gruesome murder of one of our colleagues C.O KPATUMA,ESQ., who until his untimely death was a vibrant member of the Asaba branch of the NBA.

It beats me how people can be so cold hearted as to take a life, a strand of whose hair they cannot create. Life in Nigeria at this point is almost returning to the state of nature where the chances of being hacked to death by unknown assailants is almost a given.

This latest murder of our beloved colleague, once again re-echoes the social cum security meltdown of our country. I really long to see that day when the dignity of human life would be held in the highest esteem in Nigeria. The common man who is without security aids must now be extra vigilant because the government whose primary responsibility to protect him has shifted priority to other mundane things.

No amount of words and deeds can really assuage the feeling of sorrow being experienced by his family at the moment, however I will still offer to them some words of condolence and encouragement to the effect that their beloved one is in a better place now, away from the sinister realities of this wicked world. Please take solace in the fact that God will dish out judgment to every wrongdoer.

I at this point call on the security operatives to double up and fish out the perpetrator(s) of this dastardly act to at least bring some level of closure to members of the deceased family.”
